The Community Living Wingham & District is governed by a volunteer board of directors.

Jim Dore– President

Jim resides in Wingham and is retired from policing after 30 years. Most recently, Jim spent 11 years working for the Ministry of Attorney General as a Victim Witness Services worker. Hobbies and interests include sports and music, along with bird watching.

Brenda Schedler – Past President

Brenda resides in Wingham and is retired after a 38 – year career as a teacher. Hobbies and interests include being active with her church, reading, travel and time with friends. Brenda joined the Board in 2017 and has always been impressed by the opportunities provided within the organization, from music programs, day to day supports and involvement within the community.

Janette McLean – Treasurer

Jeanette resides in Wingham and is a retired Registered Nurse who spent many years working as a Case Manager with Community Care Access Centre.  Hobbies and interests include reading, travel, a Grandmother to 4 and a Leaf’s/Blue Jays fan.

Janette joined the Board in 2017.  While being involved in the Wingham Church, choir, UCW and more, Janette was interested in joining our Board as felt it is vital to do all we can do.  Included in protecting, nurturing and sustaining the individuals supported in any way we can,

Judy Peel – Director

Judy resides in Wroxeter and has been a Food Service Manager for 26 years.  Hobbies and interests include watching her grandchildren play sports as well as reading and watching old movies.

Judy joined the Board 14 years ago with the goal of seeing how she could help.

Chris Wright – Director
Chris joined the Board in 2020. Chris is an Elementary School Teacher. Hobbies include walking, reading , looking after family and spending time with friends.
Chris is interested in giving back to the communities around her. She loves to learn and feels the experience of being a board member for such a valuable organization has something to teach. Chris hopes her experience as a teacher can be beneficial to the Community Living Board. Helping others live life to its fullest is a very rewarding opportunity

Mary Ann Peel – Director
Mary Ann is the office administrator for their agriculture business-Peel Dominium. She is a graduate from Fanshawe College Business Administration Accounting program.
Mary Ann and her husband Nathan live on a farm near Bluevale. They have six grown children and are blessed with five grandchildren. Mary Ann enjoys weekly play dates with her five grandsons. She enjoys walks in the bush playing backyard soccer, swimming, biking and gardening.
Mary Ann joined the board to become more involved in her community. She hopes that her skills in business, payroll and personnel, and budgeting will be an asset.

Mitch Wright – Director
Mitch is a resident of Wingham and employed at Bruce Power as a project manager. Mitch joined the Board to become involved in the community. Community Living was an easy choice as he knows one of the individuals.

Suzanne Irwin – Director

Suzanne resides in Lucknow. She has retired from teaching, having served as principal and vice principal. Suzannes hobbies include hiking, baking, photography and time with her grandson. Suzanne joined the Community Living Board as a way to support and represent the clients in our community, advocating for their complete integration into our rural communities.
